I was a bit emotional as I was preparing my presentation for the PASS Professional Development Virtual Chapter. If you’ve seen some of my presentations, you’ll know that I love telling stories to get the message across. But for this presentation, the story really hits home as I’m reminded of a friend of mine who recently passed away due to a heart attack. I was trying not to be too emotional as I was delivering the presentation.

My good friend Neil Hambly (Twitter | blog) was moderating the session and had the recording immediately uploaded to YouTube for reference. Thanks, Neil. I hope the SQL Server community (and the whole IT community, in general) find value in my insights and experiences (a.k.a mistakes.)
